THE PROBLEM:
Many communities in Rwanda face underlying social and economic challenges that increase the vulnerability of children and families. Limited economic opportunities, gender inequality, weak child protection systems, and insufficient community capacity make it difficult to address the root causes of poverty and vulnerability. Without empowered local leaders and engaged community members, children are less likely to grow up in safe, supportive environments where they can thrive.
OUR SOLUTION:
Love the Kids Rwanda strengthens communities by empowering local leaders, women, youth, and families to become advocates for child protection, gender equality, and community wellbeing. Through capacity building, economic empowerment initiatives, and community-led action, the program addresses the root causes of vulnerability while fostering inclusive and resilient communities. By equipping communities with the knowledge, skills, and resources to support one another, Love the Kids Rwanda creates safe environments where children are protected, families are strengthened, and opportunities for long-term development can flourish.
